Luckana and Kala
In those days, there was a group of hog deers living in the forest. The leader of the group had two sons named Luckana and Kala. Luckana is moral and smart but Kala is unmoral and dull.
One day, when the leader got older, he split the followers into two groups, each group contains five hundred hog deers, and let each of his son rule each group.
Luckana brought his followers to prowl in safe place. But Kala brought his followers to dangerous place and lost all of his followers. At last, they came back to see their father.
The father said “Prosperity will happen to the moral and smart. Look at Luckana for an example, he still have a lot of followers. Who is unmoral and dull will not prosper. Look at Kala for an example, he lost all of his followers.”
Luckana finally reincarnated as Saributra, a famous Buddhist saint. Kala finally reincarnated as Devadatta. The father finally reincarnated as the Buddha.
